In North East Lincolnshire, local people worked together to improve services, encourage older people to seek financial help with the rising cost of fuel bills, reduce isolation, increase activity, and promote healthy eating.
Following the programme's success, they also wanted to address 'tissue viability'. [Non-healing wounds, including pressure sores, are the most likely cause of skin and soft tissue infections; this costs the NHS billions.]
For this campaign, the same community team members got involved in a one-day photoshoot, encouraging everyone to ‘Speak Out for Skin’.
